Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations seeks an Assistant Plant Operator to support daily boiler and equipment operation, ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance. The role involves monitoring readings, performing inspections, and maintaining accurate logs and water-testing data.

Training programs must be completed; regular duties include housekeeping, reporting issues, and covering shifts when needed to maintain continuous plant operation. This is a full-time on-site position in MA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant degree desirable.
• 2 years in power plant operation or 3 years related experience.
• Mechanical skills for basic maintenance and inspections.
• Understanding of steam generating power plants.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plant Operator in daily plant operation and maintenance; report inconsistencies.
• Perform APC inspections and support safety and efficiency goals.
• Maintain logs and communicate plant status clearly.
• Operate demineralization and water-testing processes with proper chemistry procedures.
• Work with maintenance to troubleshoot issues and assess causes.
• Keep work areas clean, orderly, and compliant with safety policies.
• Complete required training programs within specified timelines.
• Support colleagues and stand in for vacancies or callouts as needed.
