The position requires a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for holidays and weekends to meet agency needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Park Administration or Management, Natural Resource Management or a closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one (1) year of experience for each 30 semester hours.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Scheduled hours require flexibility including holidays, weekends, or events.

Responsibilities

  • Assures a safe, well-maintained park facility through a supervised staff.
  • Provides efficient operation within budget constraints with fiscal control.
  • Provides park visitor service and promotes usage through community relations and partnerships.
  • Manages natural resource protection and environmental education as a park operations manager.
  • Analyzes financial information to plan and manage the park’s operating budget.
