Job summary

Cornerstone Caregiving is seeking an Assistant Operating Director in Omaha, NE to lead in-office operations, oversee scheduling, and support staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in management, leadership operations, or human resources.
• Experience hiring, recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising staff.
• Leadership experience in healthcare or home care industry.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort managing multiple priorities and shifting needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-office operations, scheduling oversight, and staff support.
• Coach and develop in-office staff and reinforce standards and culture.
• Onboard and train new office managers with clarity and confidence.
• Conduct weekly 1:1 check-ins, performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Share on-call rotation with office leadership.
• Oversee administrative workflow including payroll notes, shift verification, and operations updates.
• Maintain documentation per Cornerstone policies and state requirements.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding steps, and staff oversight to support growth.
• Oversee scheduling to ensure timely coverage and excellent client experience.
• Respond to client escalations with urgency and empathy.
• Conduct check-up calls, quality visits, and client follow-ups for care continuity.
• Ensure state-required supervisory visits where applicable.
• Serve as backup for client assessments when the Operating Director is unavailable.
