Job summary

Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, part of Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, seeks an Assistant Patient Care Manager to support clinical management and administrative coordination in Utilization Management.

You will supervise unit staff, mentor the team, ensure policy adherence, and partner with the Patient Care Manager to achieve unit goals while delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• Registered Nurse by California Board of Registered Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the supervision of unit staff and maintains quality patient care.
• Assists in administrative/management functions and acts in the absence of the Patient Care Manager.
• Coordinates and directs unit patient care operations for assigned shifts.
• Facilitates orientation, training, and ongoing staff development; coaching and evaluation.
• Supports quality, process, and performance improvement and risk management programs.
• Serves as liaison to the Patient Care Manager.
