Job summary

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is seeking an Assistant Patient Care Manager to assist the Patient Care Manager with clinical management and administrative coordination of designated units. This role supports unit goals and acts as a resource for staff and as a liaison to the Patient Care Manager.

You will supervise staff during shifts, coordinate patient care operations, mentor and develop employees, monitor care processes, and participate in quality improvement and policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• Registered Nurse license in California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead unit staff; supervise patient care during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate and direct the unit's patient care operations for a shift.
• Support ongoing staff development, coaching and annual performance evaluations.
• Monitor patient care processes and outcomes to improve workflow and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety programs and quality initiatives.
