Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Manager-Assistant Nurse (ANM) to lead nursing units and collaborate with Nurse Managers, educators, and Clinical Nurse Specialists. The role focuses on reducing barriers between departments, guiding staffing, and ensuring quality patient care within regulatory standards.

The ANM participates in budget development, supports professional practice, and aligns unit goals with hospital objectives.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• National certification in a clinical or leadership specialty within two years of hire.
• Associates Degree required; BSN in progress within 6 months and BSN within three years.
• Minimum RN experience: 5 years with ADN, or 3 years with BSN or higher.
• Membership in professional organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to assigned department staff and participate in budget development and objectives.
• Support nursing governance structures and unit practice councils within span of control.
• Ensure efficient daily operations, staffing, equipment, supplies, and services to deliver high quality patient care.

Education

Associates Degree

BSN in progress (within 6 months)

BSN within three years of hire

National certification in clinical or leadership specialty
