Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• National certification in either a clinical or leadership specialty within two (2) years of hire.
• Associates Degree; Must enroll in BSN within 6 months of hire; Must complete BSN within three years of hire.
• Minimum of 5 years RN experience and has an ADN degree OR minimum of 3 years RN experience and has a BSN or higher degree.
• Professional organization membership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of patient care team on the unit and actively monitors the quality of care delivered during their shift.
• Supports the organization's customer-centric service program.
• Conducts daily rounds on the unit to identify and address patient/family/physician concerns.
• Interfaces with patients and families to ensure care aligns with expectations and quality standards.
• Assesses, coaches and evaluates staff’s level of clinical practice.
• Ensures nurses are current in competency, licensure, and annual training.
• Mentors staff and designs education to meet clinical needs.
• Coordinates communication between unit team members and attending physicians or staff.
• Coordinates staffing and scheduling to meet throughput and labor targets.
• Maintains regulatory readiness and ensures compliance with policies.
