Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Georgia is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to join the Nursing Leadership Team. The ANM will lead nursing staff, participate in budget development, and ensure high quality patient care across units.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with physicians and educators, and responsibility for staffing, compliance, and professional practice advancement within the nursing department.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• National certification in a clinical or leadership specialty within two years of hire.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred or enrolled within six months and must complete BSN within three years.
• Minimum RN experience: 5 years with ADN or 3 years with BSN or higher.
• Professional organization membership is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care delivery on the unit and monitor quality of care.
• Lead staffing and scheduling to meet budgeted targets.
• Participate in budget development and capital/operating budgeting.
• Collaborate with physicians, leaders, and staff to remove barriers and improve operations.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and adherence to hospital policies and standards.
• Mentor, educate, and evaluate staff to support professional practice.
