Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead a nursing unit under the leadership team. This role drives staffing, budgeting, patient care quality, and collaboration with physicians and educators to advance clinical excellence.

The ANM provides oversight of care delivery, mentors staff, and supports governance activities while ensuring regulatory readiness and high performance across shifts.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as RN in Georgia and national certification within 2 years of hire.
• Associates Degree; must enroll in BSN within 6 months and complete BSN within three years of hire.
• Minimum 5 years RN experience with ADN or minimum 3 years RN experience with BSN or higher.
• Professional organization membership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of the patient care team on the unit and monitor care quality during shifts.
• Coach and evaluate staff; ensure competency, licensure, and annual training.
• Collaborate with physicians; maintain effective communication with clinical staff and families.
• Schedule work assignments; participate in bed huddles and patient flow decisions.
• Support professional practice standards and regulatory compliance; participate in budgeting and governance.
