Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is looking for an Assistant Meat & Seafood Manager to support one of the busiest departments and guide a team to deliver fresh products and excellent service. You’ll help with merchandising, inventory, and staff development while maintaining health and safety standards.

The role requires a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends; prior meat department experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with basic math knowledge.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years professional experience, and 2-3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department preferred.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver high quality products, service, and customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure proper receiving, stocking, and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.
