Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat & Seafood Manager to support the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing the department, ensuring quality, freshness, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced store.

You will lead a busy team, assist with hiring, training, ordering, inventory controls, and uphold safety and sanitation standards while working a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with basic math, weights and measures knowledge.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience and 2-3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department preferred.
• Dependable and reliable with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• General housekeeping and sanitation responsibilities in the department.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high quality products and great customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Follow receiving, stocking, unloading procedures and ensure freshness and quality.
• Unload and sort deliveries, operate and maintain meat & seafood equipment.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
