Job summary

MGM Resorts in Las Vegas is seeking an Assistant Manager of Uniform Control to ensure team members have the right uniforms and support to shine. You will lead daily operations, enforce policies, and maintain high standards that define Aria.

You will oversee HR duties, inventory, and coordination with hotel departments for uniform needs, while developing new uniform concepts and mentoring a luxury resort team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of relevant experience, preferably in Uniform Control or related services.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred.
• Experience leading union members and working in a collective bargaining environment preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee employees and daily operations while enforcing policies.
• Handle HR responsibilities: hiring, training, succession, performance feedback, recognition, teamwork, diversity.
• Complete administrative duties: disciplinary actions, attendance, schedules, requisitions, uniforms, expenses.
• Maintain uniform inventory: counts, purchasing, par levels, follow-ups.
• Coordinate with hotel departments on uniform needs and program implementations.
• Assist with research and development of new uniform design concepts.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Oversee employees and daily operations while enforcing company policies and procedures


• Manage Human Resources responsibilities, including quality hiring, training, succession planning, performance feedback, recognition, teamwork, mutual respect, employee satisfaction, and the company's diversity commitment


• Complete administrative duties, including issuing disciplinary actions and commendations, tracking employee attendance, creating schedules and requisitions, ordering supplies and uniforms, charging expenses to the appropriate departments, and filing supporting paperwork


• Maintain uniform inventory by conducting counts, ordering uniforms through the purchasing system, maintaining par levels, and following up on past-due orders


• Work with hotel departments on uniform needs, assist employees with replacements and upgrades, coordinate new‑uniform program implementations, and coordinate costume distribution for Special Events


• Assist with research and development of new uniform design concepts

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Must be 21 years of age or older


• High School Diploma or GED


• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience, preferably in Uniform Control or related services


• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred


• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment preferred


• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in English with all stakeholders
