Job summary

THE SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas. The Assistant Manager for Gymkhana at Aria will oversee daily operations of a Michelin-recognized Indian restaurant, leading a team to deliver world-class hospitality and WOW memories for guests.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in management, a strong front-of-house background, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays in a luxury dining setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ Years of prior relevant experience required.
• Previous management experience in a fine-dining, luxury, or similar upscale restaurant preferred.
• Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make daily floor plans per shift to ensure proper rotation and coverage of stations.
• Supervise floor service in dining rooms during hours of operation.
• Perform employee evaluations and manage issues related to attendance records.
• Maintain communication with the Chef on all food service and menu issues.
• Communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff to fulfill and address guest and employee needs.
• Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing; prepare purchase requisitions.
• Keep inventory form and stocking area updated.
• Inspect food quality from support departments to ensure freshness.
• Maintain direct communication with guests for special requests and large party reservations.

Education

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred

2+ Years of prior relevant experience

Previous management experience in fine-dining or upscale restaurant

Experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred

As an Assistant Manager for Gymkhana at Aria, you will oversee the daily operations of our newly Michelin-recognized restaurant, setting a spectacular stage to showcase the rich, bold flavors of our elite Indian cuisine. By understanding our guests' unique stories and needs, you will lead our team in delivering world-class hospitality, owning the guest journey to create exquisite, culture-rich WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Make daily floor plans per shift to ensure proper rotation and coverage of stations
• Supervise floor service in dining rooms during hours of operation
• Perform employee evaluations and manage issues related to attendance records
• Maintain communication with the Chef on all food service and menu issues
• Communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address issues or needs requested by guests and employees
• Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing; prepare purchase requisitions for any outlets from the warehouse or support departments
• Keep inventory form and stocking area updated
• Inspect food coming from support departments to assure freshness and quality
• Maintain direct communication with guests for special requests and large party reservations

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• 2+ Years of prior relevant experience required
• Previous relevant Management experience in a fine-dining, luxury, or similar Upscale restaurant preferred
• Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred
