Job summary

Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee the designated outlet and daily shift operations. You will create schedules, monitor labor costs, support budget initiatives, and ensure guest satisfaction through superior service.

You will lead a team, maintain procedures for food service, and uphold company standards. Excellent communication, confidentiality, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential; all shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A) in related field; two (2) years of Food & Beverage experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum two (2) years of previous supervisory experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Food & Beverage Outlet and daily shift management; monitor performance and profit objectives
• Create effective schedules while maintaining labor costs and ensuring guest satisfaction

• Responsible for supervising the Food & Beverage Outlet designated to this role and the overall daily management of a designated shift. Supports, administers, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives
• Creates effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving guest satisfaction
• Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and providing recommendations; ensures compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reports budget concerns to manager
• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals
• Assists in the maintenance and development of procedures for food service and inspects menu items for maximum customer satisfaction
