Job summary

Renaissance Hotels in New Orleans is seeking an entry-level management position to support day-to-day Rooms Operations including Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS and Concierge/Guest Services. You will help guests during arrivals and departures and uphold cleanliness standards while aiming to meet operating budgets.

The role requires coordination with multiple departments and emphasizes guest and employee satisfaction. This full-time position is located at 817 Common St, New Orleans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years guest services/front desk/housekeeping experience.
• 2-year degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related major with 1 year guest services experience.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes Front Desk shifts and ensures shift checklist completion.
• Runs and reviews room operations reports and communications.
• Understand Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk and Concierge operations.
• Operates department equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Ensures staff have proper supplies and uniforms.
• Understands night audit procedures and related reports.
• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Communicates performance expectations for each position.
• Handles employee questions and concerns and schedules staff to meet demand.
• Monitors attendance and ensures alignment with business needs.
• Supervises same-day selling to maximize room revenue and occupancy.
• Verifies room rates to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Uses budgets and payroll progress reports to manage Room Operations.
• Participates in managing departmental controllable expenses to meet goals.
• Assists in guest experience programs and feedback review.

Education

High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience

2-year degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management; 1 year experience
