Job summary

Ilocatum in Georgia is seeking an experienced Production Control & Materials Assistant Manager to lead production planning, material management, inventory control, and start-up coordination at a new manufacturing facility. You will work with production, purchasing, warehouse, and operations to align schedules with demand.

The role requires hands-on ERP/MRP experience, SAP/MES familiarity, and strong leadership to drive on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years in production control, planning, inventory management, or operations.
• Experience supervising manufacturing teams.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, MRP, inventory control, and workflows.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP experience; SAP/MES preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily/weekly production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Monitor performance and adjust schedules to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate to set priorities and resolve conflicts.
• Develop and implement production planning procedures and metrics.
• Coordinate material planning and resolve shortages and inventory discrepancies.
• Oversee WIP, raw materials, and finished goods inventory accuracy.
• Maintain inventory control procedures and optimize material flow.
• Ensure accurate ERP/MRP transactions and reporting.
• Lead start-up support and cross-shift coordination.
• Drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
