Job summary

Job Juncture seeks a Production Control & Materials Assistant Manager in McDonough, GA to lead planning, material control, and ERP/MRP-driven operations for a new manufacturing facility. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field; equivalent manufacturing experience considered.
• 5+ years in production control, material planning, or inventory management.
• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, inventory control, and manufacturing workflows.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP experience; SAP and MES preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, reporting, and data analysis.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities across departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and execution of daily and weekly production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Monitor production performance and coordinate adjustments to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with leadership to set priorities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Develop and implement production planning procedures and performance metrics.
• Coordinate material planning and availability to support uninterrupted operations.
• Identify and resolve material shortages, delays, and inventory discrepancies.
• Oversee WIP, raw materials, and finished goods inventory accuracy.
• Support inventory optimization to reduce excess stock and waste.
• Maintain inventory tracking and control procedures.
• Oversee production orders, material transactions, and inventory movements in ERP/MRP.
• Monitor schedules and data to identify discrepancies and opportunities for efficiency.
• Develop and maintain production reports, inventory metrics, and KPIs.
• Assist with daily departmental operations and start-up activities.
• Develop SOPs, workflows, and inventory processes during start-up.
• Provide direction to production control and materials staff.
