Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a fast-paced drive-in restaurant. You will train and support Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops while helping ensure quality food, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include directing staff, managing operations, and assisting with administrative duties. The role requires strong leadership, flexibility with hours, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of the restaurant or retail operations.
• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry-level retail management experience.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong leadership and team-motivation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coaches Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops to meet service standards.
• Directs staff to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing, inventory and food cost; completes weekly inventory as needed.
• Assists in administrative duties including maintaining files and records.
• Ensures courteous guest service and resolves guest requests and complaints.
