Job summary

K9 Resorts is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager to lead the team, operations, and growth of our luxury dog care resort in New Jersey. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership across staff, scheduling, inventory, and guest experience.

The position requires a strong operations mindset, talent development, and a focus on delivering 5-star service while driving business growth through leads, tours, and client retention strategies.

Qualifications

• Prior management or supervisory experience required.
• Experience in pet care, daycare, boarding, or similar environment preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Business-minded with understanding of operations and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Supervisors, CSRs, and Pet Care Technicians.
• Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training.
• Drive accountability, performance management, and team engagement.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, and safety.
• Monitor KPIs and support operational and financial performance.
• Ensure delivery of 5-Star service at every interaction.
• Support local partnerships, events, and marketing initiatives.
