Job summary

K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel in Roxbury Township, NJ is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager to drive performance, develop teams, and ensure top-tier operations across our luxury resort.

You’ll lead supervisors and technicians, assist with hiring, training, and scheduling, monitor KPIs, and ensure 5-Star service. This hands-on leadership role offers growth, community engagement, and a path to broader leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Prior management or supervisory experience required.
• Experience in pet care, daycare, boarding, or similar environment preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Business-minded with understanding of operations and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• High emotional intelligence and professionalism.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Supervisors, CSRs, and Pet Care Technicians.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing training.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and labor management.
• Monitor KPIs and support operational and financial performance.
• Act as Brand Ambassador and drive community engagement and marketing initiatives.
