Job summary

Cinemark USA, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to assist in theatre operations and uphold policies and standards. You’ll be cross-trained across departments to support functions as needed and mentor staff through the Management Accreditation Program.

Progression can lead to Senior Assistant Manager and Theatre/General Manager roles after completing required training and six months of service. Flexible hours include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Completion of Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, MAP Core).
• Completes basic food handling training and obtains necessary local/state certifications where required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follows the direction of the General Manager.
• Supports General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff.
• Responsible for working in all departments and all theatre job functions.
• Trains and coaches Team Members in their specific job functions.
• Assists in preparing administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
• Observes and participates in theatre/building inspections and equipment condition.
• Reports safety/maintenance needs to General Manager.
• Ensures staff follow dress code and provide superior customer service.
• Communicates effectively with guests to improve service.
• Enforces Cinemark guidelines fairly and consistently.
• Maintains employee relations reporting protocols.
• Maintains high work ethic and conduct standards.
• Identifies and sanitizes high-contact areas.
• Uses PPE appropriately and performs task-specific cleaning.
• Addresses safety or security issues promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
