Job summary

GPM Investments, Village Pantry in Muncie, IN is seeking an Assistant Manager for Store 5390. Open availability is required, with weekends and holidays and second or third shifts likely, in a high-energy retail setting.

You will support the Store Manager, run the register, coach staff, manage inventory and merchandising, and help with scheduling and store financials while keeping a clean, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• Open availability on weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation with valid license and insurance.
• Physically capable of store tasks and upkeep.
• 21 years or older.
• Proficient English communication and basic math.
• Willing to learn and adapt in a retail setting.
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in daily operations.
• Run the register with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate staff to upsell products and promotions.
• Assist with hiring, training, and leading a team.
• Act as manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and merchandising.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules.
• Handle cash, deposits, and store financials.
• Provide leadership to drive customer service excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
