Job summary

GPM Investments, LLC is seeking a Sales Associate at Village Pantry in Muncie, IN to provide friendly, efficient service and keep the store clean and inviting for every customer.

Role includes operating the register, learning lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with proper age checks, stocking merchandise, and helping with deli cross-training as needed. Part-time roles with advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Age requirement: must be 21 years of age or older.
• Availability: weekends and holidays required.
• Willingness to work hard and stay on your feet in all weather conditions.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate the register with accuracy and speed.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with age verification compliance.
• Upsell customers to increase sales when possible.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety inside and outside the store.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh.
• Sweep, mop, clean windows, and manage entryways.
• Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and help wherever needed.
