Planet Fitness in Maynard, MA is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee gym operations and deliver a exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience while driving financial performance. The role is full-time and may require extended hours, travel, nights, weekends, and holidays to support business needs.

Daily duties include driving sales, recruiting and training staff, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and supervising front-desk activities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Confident problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, guests and staff and ensuring service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Assist in scheduling and supervising staff.
• Oversee member service ensuring superior customer experiences at all times.
• Assist in resolving employee issues or concerns.
• Handle front desk tasks: answer phones, check members in, sign-ups, tours, and member questions.
• Assist in facility cleanliness and maintenance and in ordering supplies within budget.
• Track statistics and reports weekly, monthly, and annually.
• Provide backup support for any absent employee.
