Job summary

Planet Fitness Assistant Manager will help oversee gym operations to ensure a Judgement Free member experience and a financially successful club. You’ll assist in recruiting, training and developing a high performing staff including Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests.

You’ll handle front desk duties, member check-in, tours, and member requests, plus oversee cleanliness and supplies.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and front desk operations in a gym setting.
• Strong supervisory and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Must hold CPR certification and be at least 18.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Able to recruit, train, and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing staff.
• Support in maintaining welcoming atmosphere and high service standards.
• Provide backup support to Club Manager and supervise staff scheduling.
• Oversee member check-in, tours, and first-point of contact.
• Assist in cleanliness, supplies budgeting, and reporting statistics.
• Back up for absent employees.
• Handle front desk activities including answering phones.
