Job summary

Playa Bowls, LLC. is seeking an Assistant Manager in New Jersey to assist the General Manager in daily shop operations. The role focuses on guest experience, team training, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, healthy-living environment.

You will manage staff scheduling, monitor food quality, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards while supporting growth and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or managerial experience in fast-paced food service or retail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain and inventory processes.
• Familiarity with personnel management responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and active listening.
• Must pass ServSafe within 3 months of employment.
• Ability to work weekends and 30+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, and accommodations.
• Oversee food preparation, portions, garnishing, and presentation to standards.
• Schedule staff hours and assign duties for cost-efficient operations.
• Train and mentor staff; recruit new hires using company methods.
• Fill in for the General Manager during absences.
• Monitor health, safety, and compliance with regulations.
• Operate POS system and handle cash deposits.
• Maintain inventories and records, including ordering supplies.
