Job description

Pay Range:

$17-$30 per hour (includes base pay + personal and store commissions)

Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Manager
  1. Passion – Dedication to excellence, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and perseverance.
    • Meet deadlines consistently
    • Utilize J&M sales tools to meet sales objectives
    • Use available resources for performance improvement and team education
  2. Represents the Brand – Acts as a brand ambassador, creates a premium store environment, and adheres to core values.
    • Network and recruit effectively
    • Participate in interviewing and hiring using the PRIDE model
    • Implement visual guidelines and maintain store appearance
    • Follow personal presentation standards
    • Deliver world-class service with proper phone etiquette
  3. Interpersonal Skills – Effective communication and relationship-building within the organization.
    • Build lasting relationships
    • Assist in training, coaching, and performance evaluations
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  4. Delivers Results – Achieve sales and financial goals, manage profitability, and execute priorities.
    • Meet and exceed sales plans and metrics
    • Protect company assets through inventory and cash management
    • Create and maintain weekly work schedules
  5. Edge – Manage change effectively, make informed decisions, and act with urgency.
    • Manage all performance levels
    • Identify trends through market research
    • Analyze merchandise reports to optimize business
    • Partner with HR to resolve issues
    • Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Maintain a professional appearance
    • Show willingness to learn
    • Have a stable employment history
    • Physical demands include constant movement, communication, reaching, stooping, standing, walking, operating controls, climbing ladders, and lifting at least 40 lbs

The successful candidate will work retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and must adapt to the competitive retail environment.
