Job summary

Ben & Jerry's Connecticut at Mohegan Sun is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run daily operations, coach the scoopers, and ensure an outstanding guest experience. This hands-on leadership role requires leading by example and stepping in when the Shop Manager is away.

You will oversee shift operations, support scheduling, cash handling, training, and community events, with a clear path to promotion to Shop Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience; food service or retail experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, positive, and accountable with reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support scoopers and shift leads to deliver great service each shift.
• Oversee daily operations including cash handling, inventory, scheduling, and opening/closing.
• Set the tone for outstanding guest service and coach the team during busy periods.
• Support team growth through training, feedback, and positive accountability.
• Confidently run the shop in the Shop Manager's absence and support events.

The Opportunity

As an Assistant Manager, you will be a key leader in the shop, helping to run daily operations, coach the team, and make sure every guest has a great experience. • Within your first few months, you can independently run a shift from open to close, maintaining smooth operations and strong guest reviews.
• The team looks to you as a reliable, positive leader who communicates clearly and handles issues before they become problems.
• Shop goals for service, cleanliness, and accuracy are consistently met during your shifts.
• You actively contribute ideas to improve scheduling, training, or operations, and take on more responsibility as you grow toward a Shop Manager role.
