Job summary

Subway in Basalt, CO is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a small team, ensure smooth daily operations, and enhance guest experiences. The role combines supervision, training, scheduling, and inventory control in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

You will manage 4-12 staff, assist with opening/closing, coordinate events, and help with ordering and store organization while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to work with all levels of staff.
• Computer knowledge is desirable.

Key Elements of a Shift Manager day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Train Employees
• Open/Close when needed
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant
• Coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering, inventory and store orgranization.

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
