Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager in Michigan to lead a team and deliver guest excellence. You’ll supervise 4-12 staff, schedule shifts, assist promotions, manage inventory, and ensure food safety and cleanliness.

This role provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced restaurant, with training on roles and responsibilities, and opportunities to grow within the Subway Team at participating locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in restaurant operations with supervisory duties preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest experience and food service.
• Schedule and supervise 4–12 staff members.
• Assist in planning events and promotions in-restaurant.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
