Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold property integrity. You will work with the leasing team to maximize renewals and leasing opportunities, while prioritizing safety and policy compliance.

Responsibilities include handling resident requests within 24 hours, maintaining records, performing routine maintenance, and assisting in inspections. Weekend on-call and travel may be required; a high school diploma and EPA certification

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of full-time apartment maintenance experience or a relevant trade.
• EPA refrigeration certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record and auto insurance.
• Ability to travel within major metropolitan areas; some weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours when possible.
• Implement and manage the system for handling service requests and on-call rotations.
• Follow company policies, procedures and applicable laws (ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA).
• Assist with distribution of flyers and materials; maintain safety materials.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance; inspect and manage tools and equipment.
• Prepare property for inspections and assist property manager or regional supervisor.
