Job summary

RPM Living is seeking an on-site Assistant Maintenance Manager to uphold and enhance the value of our apartment communities in Pasadena, TX. You will perform maintenance tasks and step in for the Maintenance Manager when unavailable, ensuring timely, quality work.

This role requires OSHA compliance, strong communication with residents and teams, and collaboration with contractors to maintain property standards and resident safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of multifamily maintenance experience and/or training.
• EPA certification required.
• CPO – Preferred.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and respond to emergency on-call and after-hours maintenance assignments.
• Complete work orders and maintenance tasks within 24-48 hours, updating records.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate status to residents, team members, and supervisors.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and exterior maintenance.
• Perform sheetrock repairs to maintain aesthetics and structural integrity.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety laws.
• Collaborate with maintenance team, other departments, and external contractors.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities to avoid issues.
• Assess safety and cleanliness standards and resident wellbeing.
• Report supply needs and maintain shop organization.
• Assume Maintenance Manager responsibilities in their absence.
