Job summary

RPM Living in Grapevine, TX seeks an Assistant Maintenance Manager to maintain and enhance the value of our multifamily communities. You will carry out maintenance duties and assume Maintenance Manager responsibilities when needed, ensuring timely completion of tasks and safety compliance.

This on-site role requires hands-on skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facilities, with a focus on proactive maintenance and strong communication with residents and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of multifamily maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• EPA certification is required.
• CPO certification is preferred.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and respond to emergency on-call and after-hours maintenance tasks.
• Close out work orders within 24-48 hours with clear completion records.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate status to residents and staff.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and exterior systems.
• Perform sheetrock repairs to maintain aesthetics and structural integrity.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance team and external contractors for seamless operations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to prevent issues and uphold property quality.
• Assess safety and cleanliness to meet regulatory requirements.
• Report supply needs and maintain organized shop.
• Step in as Maintenance Manager when the manager is unavailable.
