Job summary

RPM Living is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to maintain and enhance the value of our community. The role may assume Maintenance Manager responsibilities when the manager is unavailable.

The position involves coordinating emergency maintenance, completing work orders, and performing HVAC/electrical/plumbing repairs. A strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and proactive maintenance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of multifamily maintenance experience.
• EPA certification required.
• CPO certification preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and respond to emergency on-call and after-hours maintenance tasks.
• Complete work orders within 24–48 hours and update records.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate status to residents and team.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, and carpentry issues.
• Perform sheetrock repairs to maintain aesthetics and structure.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team, departments, and contractors for seamless maintenance.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to avoid issues and protect property quality.
• Assess property safety and cleanliness to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Report supply needs and maintain organized shop space.
• Step in as Maintenance Manager in their absence to ensure continuity.
