Job summary

Bozzuto in Washington DC is seeking an Assistant Building Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across the property, ensuring timely repairs and high resident satisfaction. You will drive safety, preventative maintenance, and efficient make-ready processes to keep apartments leased and communities thriving.

The role requires 5+ years in trades, HVAC/EPA/NAPE certification, and willingness to work weekends and on-call shifts while upholding Bozzuto's values and standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in trades, facilities, or residential building maintenance.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA and MSDS.
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades and appliance repair.
• Ability to work weekends and on-call rotation.
• Physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs, climb stairs, and work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and model Bozzuto values.
• Address resident service tickets timely.
• Resolve maintenance issues (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances).
• Manage make-ready and turnover so apartments can be leased.
• Maintain preventative maintenance programs.
• Oversee grounds upkeep, snow removal, and safety compliance.
