Job summary

Bozzuto in Somerville, MA is seeking an Assistant Building Maintenance Manager to oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general upkeep across residential properties. The role demands leadership, on-call availability, and a track record of proactive maintenance to preserve property value and resident satisfaction.

This is a hands-on, safety-conscious position with weekend work and emergency rotations; you’ll lead by example and partner with operations to ensure timely service and adherence to

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in the trades, facilities and/or residential building maintenance.
HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification.
Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

Leading by example and being a role model for the standards and culture of Bozzuto.
Following up with residents and completing apartment service tickets promptly.
Resolving maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
Managing make-ready and turnover to lease apartments on time.
Ensuring safety codes/standards and accident-free operations.
