Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will supervise staff, monitor food costs, ensure health and safety standards, and align menu changes with quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a food production facility, fast-paced restaurant or similar.
• Local/municipal Food Handler certification (at applicant’s expense).
• Organized and detail oriented; able to train and develop kitchen staff.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen personnel and communicate responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Observe and coach employees on performance and development.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with recruitment, selection and promotions.
• Develop and implement plans to improve operations and personnel development.
• Collaborate to streamline operations, control costs, and ensure quality standards.
• Provide feedback on products and merchandise to guide decisions.
• Ensure new menu items align with standards and policies.
• Facilitate training sessions on prep and presentation standards.
• Model company vision to foster teamwork and a positive environment.
• Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
