Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is seeking a Kitchen Manager to supervise and develop the kitchen team, ensuring high-quality food production in a fast-paced environment. You will lead training, coach staff, and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to optimize operations and costs at our Naples facility.

The role requires at least 3 years in a food production or full-service setting, strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, and flexibility for closing shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in food production or fast-paced dining
• Food Handler certification (local req) acquired by applicant
• Organized and detail oriented
• Experience in training/kitchen staff development
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in kitchen
• Willing to work closing shifts and weekends
• Culinary school cert or Restaurant Management degree is a plus
• Proficient with computers and POS software

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen staff and communicate performance expectations with the Kitchen Manager
• Observe and coach staff to improve performance
• Assist Kitchen Manager with recruitment, promotions, and discipline
• Help develop action plans to improve operations and personnel development
• Collaborate to streamline operations, manage costs, and maintain efficiency
• Provide product feedback to the Kitchen Manager and suggest menu changes
• Ensure new menu items align with quality standards and policies
• Lead training sessions on prep techniques and plating standards
• Model company vision and promote a positive, team-focused environment
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Ensure policies are followed and standards are met
• Demonstrate proficiency in all kitchen positions
