Job summary

Pura Vida Miami Llc is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead and develop our kitchen team, ensuring high-quality prep, presentation, and food safety standards. You will collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to optimize operations, train staff, and uphold our hospitality values across shifts while managing costs.

The role requires experience in fast-paced environments, strong organizational skills, and flexibility to work closing shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a food production facility, fast-paced restaurant or full dining service.
• Local/municipal Food Handler certification where applicable.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Experience training and developing kitchen staff.
• Ability to work closing shifts and weekends.
• Comfortable using a computer and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to kitchen staff with the Kitchen Manager.
• Observe and evaluate employees’ performance and provide coaching as appropriate.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with recruitment, selection, promotion, and development of personnel.
• Collaborate with Kitchen Manager to streamline kitchen operations and manage food costs.
• Provide feedback on products and merchandise to align with quality standards.
• Ensure new menu items align with quality standards and procedures.
• Facilitate training sessions for kitchen staff on prep work and presentation.
• Model company vision and values to foster a positive work environment and teamwork.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
