Job summary

Pura Vida Miami Llc is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our fast-paced team. You will supervise kitchen staff, coach performance, and assist the Kitchen Manager with recruitment, development, and cost-management initiatives.

You’ll help implement policies, ensure food-safety compliance, and train staff on prep and presentation standards. A culinary background or degree is a plus and growth opportunities are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a food production facility or fast-paced dining setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in kitchen environments.
• Experience in training and developing kitchen staff.
• Comfortable using a computer and POS software.
• Certification from culinary school or degree in restaurant management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen personnel and coordinate with the Kitchen Manager.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to staff.
• Assist with recruitment, promotion and staff development.
• Help implement action plans to improve operations and costs.
• Collaborate to streamline operations and ensure quality standards.
• Lead training sessions on prep techniques and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and policies.
• Model company vision and promote teamwork.
