Stonewood Grill & Tavern in Ormond Beach, FL is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to join the leadership team in a fast-paced scratch kitchen. This hands-on role partners with the Kitchen Manager to execute high-quality food, maintain standards, and drive operational excellence.

The candidate should have kitchen leadership experience, strong line execution, meat cutting skills, and the ability to lead a team in a busy environment, with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen leadership experience preferred.
• Strong line execution and scratch cooking knowledge.
• Experience with meat cutting and portioning is highly preferred.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for hospitality, quality, and team development.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute line functions and lead by example during service.
• Assist with daily kitchen operations in a fully scratch kitchen.
• Cut and portion meats and seafood in-house to company specifications.
• Support ordering, inventory management, and product rotation.
• Manage prep production and kitchen organization.
• Train, coach, and develop line cooks and prep cooks.
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Ensure proper sanitation, safety, and cleanliness procedures are followed.
• Assist in labor management and scheduling.
• Help create a positive, accountable, team-driven culture.

We are currently seeking a strong, hands-on Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our leadership team.

Position Overview

The Assistant Kitchen Manager plays a critical role in the daily operation and success of the kitchen. This leader will work directly alongside the Kitchen Manager and Operating Partner to execute high-quality food, maintain kitchen standards, lead cooks by example, and help drive operational excellence. This is a working management position that requires strong leadership, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a high-volume scratch kitchen environment.
