Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Associate Inventory Planner to support allocation and replenishment strategies for multiple mid-level businesses. You will help optimize inventory levels by store and collaborate with AR Managers, Merchants, and Buyers to drive sales and margins.

Responsibilities include managing PO allocations, monitoring stock levels, and guiding item flow for stores and omni-channel initiatives. Strong Excel, forecasting, and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years of experience, including 2+ years in merchandise allocations/planning.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Experience with JDA Allocations and/or E3 required.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Effective training and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate bulk purchase orders using the Allocations system and place replenishment orders.
• Maintain inventory levels by store to support sales and margins.
• Collaborate with AR Manager and Buyers on allocation/replenishment strategies.
• Review instock reporting and take actions to fix issues promptly.
• Use customer insights to guide system settings and omni-channel operations.
• Lead meetings with Buyers and Merch Planners on item flow and forecasts.
• Oversee cluster creation and ITEL item eligibility for areas of responsibility.
• Mentor interns and merchandise trainees.
• Develop ad-hoc analyses for store needs and trends.
• Collaborate with Merchants on new-store assortments and performance.
