Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an Associate Inventory Planner to collaborate with A/R Managers, Merchandise Planners and Buyers. You will develop allocation and replenishment strategies to optimize store inventory and support the merchandise plan.

You will build new store plans, ensure correct assortments, and monitor in-store and omni-channel inventory to maximize sales and turns. This role requires strong Excel skills, analytical mindset, and effective cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 3-5 years of experience, including 2+ years in merchandise allocations and/or planning.
• Advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, advanced formula calculations).
• Experience with JDA Allocations and/or E3.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Training and strong communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate bulk purchase orders and place replenishment orders.
• Maintain inventory levels by store location to support sales, margin and turns.
• Collaborate with AR Manager and Buyers on allocation and replenishment strategies.
• Review in-stock reporting and address issues promptly.
• Analyze product, size, color and regional inventory needs to guide buys.
• Work with Merchants to create assortments and monitor new store performance.
