Hyatt Grand Central New York is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to help lead daily housekeeping operations in our Midtown Manhattan hotel. The role focuses on guest room cleanliness, public areas, and night cleaning, reporting to the Executive Housekeeper.

You will coach staff, monitor standards, train associates, and coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. A hotel/hospitality degree is a plus, with 2-3 years Rooms Management experience valued.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
• 2-3 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and night cleaning.
• Help maintain cleanliness, presentation, and service standards throughout the hotel.
• Support associate training, coaching, development, and scheduling.
• Monitor housekeeping and laundry supplies, inventory, and par levels.
• Help ensure safety, security, and established operating procedures are followed.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns with professionalism and care.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to support room readiness and a smooth guest experience.
• Help prepare for special requests and the needs of VIP guests and other distinguished visitors.
• Promote a work environment that supports guest satisfaction and associate engagement.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper with daily priorities and operational needs.
