Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; supervisory experience required.
• Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Must communicate effectively with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline housekeeping staff per SOPs.
• Establish and maintain a regular cleaning program with checklists.
• Maintain and control housekeeping equipment.
• Manage vendor contracts (e.g., dry cleaners, window washers).
• Lead interviews and hiring procedures for housekeeping staff.
• Develop staff morale and training initiatives.
• Inspect rooms daily, with supervisors, to ensure standards.
• Balance and review room status and payroll data.
• Prepare staff schedules based on forecast and budget.
