Job summary

HRI Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager for Hyatt Place/Hyatt House Indianapolis Downtown. The role supports the daily housekeeping operations, supervises staff, and ensures rooms meet cleanliness standards in a busy downtown hotel.

You will assist in scheduling, training, and performance feedback, manage inventory, and coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure guest rooms are ready on time. Strong leadership and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort environment.
• Supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience with property management or housekeeping systems (OnQ, Opera, HotSOS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily housekeeping operations, ensuring rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards.
• Inspect guest rooms and public spaces for quality assurance and adherence to brand standards.
• Support scheduling, training, and performance feedback for housekeeping staff.
• Maintain inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment, ensuring proper usage and storage.
• Monitor productivity and assist in maintaining labor and supply cost controls.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure timely room readiness and repairs.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns professionally.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and company policies.
• Participate in departmental meetings and assist with reporting as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
