Job description

Assistant Hotel Manager (Non-Executive Committee)

SkyBridge Luxury & Associates has been exclusively retained to identify an accomplished luxury hospitality professional for a confidential senior hotel leadership opportunity within one of the nation's most distinguished luxury resort environments.

This leader will play a significant role in the operation of an intimate Forbes Five-Star luxury hotel renowned for an exceptionally personalized approach to hospitality. The guest experience is rooted in anticipatory service, dedicated butler service, exceptional attention to detail, and highly individualized service for a discerning luxury clientele.

We are particularly interested in accomplished Assistant Hotel Managers, Directors of Rooms, Front Office leaders, Guest Experience leaders, and senior Rooms professionals who have developed their careers within the upper echelon of luxury hospitality and are ready for significantly greater leadership responsibility. The ideal candidate also has some F&B Management experience.

The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of Rooms operations, Housekeeping, Front Office, Concierge, Butler Services, luxury service standards, and team development, along with the presence and emotional intelligence required to lead within a sophisticated Forbes Five-Star environment.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a rising luxury hospitality executive to shape culture, develop talent, elevate an already exceptional guest experience, and gain meaningful executive-level operating exposure within an award-winning resort environment.

For a leader who has been intentionally building toward a future General Manager career path, this opportunity provides the standards, visibility, mentorship, and operational responsibility that can become a defining next step.

Compensation: $130,000–$150,000 base + bonus

This is a fully on-site leadership opportunity within a destination luxury resort environment. Candidates should be comfortable embracing the lifestyle and community associated with a destination resort setting. Relocation assistance is available

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Resort General Manager, the Assistant Hotel Manager serves as the senior day-to-day operating leader for the boutique hotel, with primary responsibility for the Rooms Division, guest experience, service execution, and hotel presentation.

This is a non-Executive Committee position within a larger luxury resort leadership structure.

The Hotel Manager will directly oversee or influence:
  • Front Office & Guest Services
  • Butler service + highly personalized guest services
  • Service recovery and guest recognition
  • Rooms labor, scheduling and departmental financial performance
  • Training, coaching and development
  • Hotel presentation and operational readiness
  • Manager-on-Duty responsibilities

The position will also partner closely with the resort's Food & Beverage and Culinary leadership to ensure the restaurant, in-room dining, and other F&B experiences within the hotel operate seamlessly as part of the overall guest journey.

Engineering, Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Culinary, and broader Food & Beverage leadership are managed through the resort's centralized leadership structure. You will not oversee these areas.

The Guest Experience

This is an exceptionally high-touch luxury environment.

Guests experience personalized pre-arrival planning, dedicated service professionals, preference recognition, customized pillow and bath selections, packing and unpacking assistance, bespoke in-room experiences, and thoughtful recognition throughout their stay.

The Assistant Hotel Manager must be a visible, hands-on operator who is equally comfortable engaging with discerning guests, coaching a Front Office leader, inspecting guestrooms, reviewing labor, assisting with service recovery, or working alongside another department to resolve an experience gap.

Maintaining Forbes Five-Star service standards is fundamental to the role.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a high-potential luxury Rooms leader who has developed strong operational depth across the guest journey and is ready to take a significant next step in their career.

This could be an exceptional opportunity for someone currently serving as:

  • Assistant Hotel Manager within ultra-luxury environment
  • Director of Rooms
  • Assistant Director of Rooms with significant leadership responsibility
  • Director of Front Office with broader Rooms Division exposure
  • Senior Front Office / Guest Experience leader with meaningful exposure to Housekeeping, Concierge, Bell/Door/Valet, and Butler Services

We are particularly interested in candidates who have progressed through multiple Rooms disciplines rather than building their career exclusively within one operational area.

Preferred Experience
  • Forbes Four- or Five-Star luxury hotel or resort experience
  • Strong Front Office and guest experience leadership
  • Meaningful knowledge of Housekeeping operations
  • Experience with Concierge, Bell/Door/Valet, Butler, or highly personalized guest services
  • Ability to lead multiple Rooms disciplines and department leaders
  • Strong understanding of luxury service standards and quality assurance
  • Labor management, scheduling, budgeting, and departmental financial awareness
  • Exceptional service recovery and guest relationship skills
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable
  • Highly visible, approachable, hands-on leadership style
Why This Opportunity

For an accomplished luxury Rooms leader, this represents the opportunity to move beyond responsibility for an individual department and become the senior day-to-day operating leader of a Forbes Five-Star hotel.

You will have meaningful ownership of the guest journey and Rooms operation while working alongside experienced resort executives and specialized functional leaders.

  • Highly personalized, ultra-luxury service environment
  • Significant autonomy across Rooms and Guest Experience
  • Exposure to senior resort leadership
  • Strong platform for continued development toward future General Manager responsibility
  • $130K–$150K base salary + bonus
  • Relocation assistance
MUST be authorized to work in the U.S.
