What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of restaurant management experience specifically within a fine dining environment.
- Hospitality Background: Restaurant management experience within a hotel or resort environment is required (a combination of hotel restaurant management and fine dining is considered).
- The Gold Standard: Prior experience in a Forbes 5-Star hotel setting is highly preferred.
- Technical Savvy: High proficiency with Toast and OpenTable systems.
- Certifications: Current Manager ServSafe and TIPS certifications are required.
- Physical Capability: Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry an average weight of 30 lbs constantly throughout a shift.
- Core Strengths: Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a polished presence suited for luxury hospitality environments.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Daily Leadership: Oversee daily restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, including opening/closing procedures, and supervise all areas in the absence of the Restaurant General Manager.
- Guest Relations: Create a warm, hospitable atmosphere; handle guest interactions and professionally resolve any concerns regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
- Team Development: Train, coach, evaluate, and support service staff performance while maintaining strict discipline and service standards.
- Operational Excellence: Manage weekly/monthly inventories, compile and balance daily cash receipts, ensure proper staffing levels align with business volume, and manage labor cost objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain strict compliance with hotel standards, federal/state/local health regulations, and LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the culinary team to ensure seamless service quality, and assist with the planning and execution of banquet and event operations.
- Facilities & Logistics: Ensure all equipment is clean and well-maintained; oversee that all product deliveries are received in the correct count and condition according to company policy.
