Job summary

Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Help Desk Specialist to perform IS activities under the Help Desk Manager’s supervision. The role may involve any of the three shifts based on staffing needs and requires assisting users with software and hardware issues while maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, IT-related education at various levels, and several years of help desk or software development experience.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in IT preferred; bachelor degree with IT curriculum preferred or associate with software development certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs IS operational procedures.
• Assists users with software/hardware questions.
• Maintains shift documentation and asset information.
• Prioritizes and escalates calls; uses call tracking software to log issues.
• Provides desk, laptop, printer, and scanner support.
• Other duties as assigned.
