Job summary
Planet Fitness - Glow Brands in Pikeville, KY seeks an Assistant General Manager to help oversee gym operations and deliver a welcoming, Judgement-Free member experience while driving club profitability. You will lead staff, recruit, train, and ensure high service standards.
A retail management background and strong customer service are preferred, with opportunities for advancement and a competitive benefits package including health insurance, PTO and scheduling flexibility.
Qualifications
- Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
- Experience supervising a team and managing staff.
- Diploma or degree not required but a high school/GED is needed.
- Proven ability to recruit, train and develop staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure superior customer service.
- Provide backup support to Club Manager and supervise scheduling.
- Oversee front desk activities and member services.
- Handle member inquiries, tours and sign-ups.
- Help maintain cleanliness and facility upkeep.
- Manage supplies within budget and track club statistics.
